Im 32 and am looking for a training or fitness getaway. Cleansing, hiking and/or training. Need something challenging and intense, like a 30 day transformation to kick start myself. Not lazy and not looking for cooking classes or nutritional education. Any GOOD suggestions??
Thanks
The best exercise you are going to get is to grab an 22 yo Thai girl, a bottle of Johnny Walker and head off to a quiet hotel in Phuket for 30 days. I guarantee you will come back exhausted!
Joking aside – because of the heat – Thailand is not good for some kinds of aerobic exercise. I’m a very keen runner but found Thailand too hot for running – I also got plagued by wild dogs. Ditto hiking. Apart from short walks I found the heat pretty tough. If you really want to do hiking your best bet is to go up North to Chiang Mai or Chinag Rai – it’ll be cooler. Go in the cool season too.
I switched to a combination of open water swimming and gym and noticed significant gains.
The gym in my apartment complex was much better than anything I’d seen back home and was air-conditioned.
Swimming wise I used an outdoor pool or just swam in the sea. I found it safe to swim parallel to the shore. Don’t try that in Pattaya though, you’ll get cut to pieces by speed boats.
The other thing you should try is a traditional Thai massage – a proper one – not a hand job in some dump. I had one massage that completely removed a 10 year back problem I had. I can’t recommend a proper massage highly enough.
The other things I did were sea kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving. All highly recommended. If you aren’t PADI qualified the snorkelling is the next best thing.
Eat light, swim hard, get a younger willing companion and you will come back feeling like a new man!
Is there any science behind this machine? Is it obsolete> By the way, it's the biggest craze in China, so I was wondering if people are just being scammed.
Fitness machines are today 100 years ahead of these old shaking straps !
Female, age 30.
I workout vigorously 5-6 days per week. This is high intensity cardio most days and strength training 3 days per week. About 20 min before my workout, I take a really good radical fruit antioxidant forumula because it is my understanding that the high intensity cardio actually creates fairly high levels of free radicals in the body so the antioxidants before the workout helps to zap those free radicals as they are formed.
I have read that some people take CoQ10 a few minutes before a workout. What does this supplement do as it relates to diet/fitness/excercise? Are there other supplements that are important to take pre or immediately post excercise?
I take a good multi and eat very well.
CoQ10 is a supplement which helps support your liver, kidneys, heart etc. Especially as we age, and with the gracious help of free radicals our major organs take a beating as well. It is good to take this supplement even if you do not exercise! It will just help and support your organs from being overworked. It's great that you are already using a multi. Is it organic? The best sources of vitamins are organinc, that goes for CoQ10 as well. I know some great of some sources that deal with exercising and replenishing your body.

Its a merit grade question and i'm stumped
I'd think its asking you to think about what information you would need to collect to provide a training programme for a particular person i.e age, height, weight, build etc to suit correctly to that individual or it could be a group of people i.e Pregnant women, elders or children that would each need differering programs.
The most obvious ways (and most helpful) would be questionnaires or surveys. What environments are they to be working in, would it be in a gym full of weights at your disposal, the swimming baths or the local park. Lastly the ability level of your client would ultimately decide on what program would be necessary as this would also have to cover dietary needs as well.
Good luck, I hope our collective answers help with the grades you're after.
I thought it was called flexiology but I can't seem to find the website that was flashed during thier informerical
The name is Fluidity Bar.
^_^ good luck
I always see Sen McCain wearing a Baseball cap so I was curious if he likes playing Baseball to unwind or what does he do for excercise? Its probably important that a sitting President takes part in some type of Physical Fitness Routine.
probably just uses his respirator to stay alive
